Lemon Pesto Turkey Pasta Recipe

This is a quick and easy “carbonara” style pasta dish, with bow tie pasta, onions, chopped cooked turkey, and a couple of eggs mixed with basil pesto and lemon zest to help make a creamy sauce. So good! I ate the whole batch. Not in one sitting, mind you, as much as I wanted to, but over several days. It reheats well. I used prepared basil pesto, but any good green pesto would work well, as long as it includes Parmesan cheese and garlic....

Moroccan Chicken With Lemon And Olives Recipe

A tagine used on a stove-top gives you that wonderful slow, even cooking that you would normally get from an oven-braise....

Oatmeal Muffins With Raisins Dates And Walnuts Recipe

When I was a kid my dad made my brothers and me breakfast every morning. We often didn’t get to see him much since he came home late at night, so mornings were always boy bonding times in our house (probably much to the relief of my mom who could sleep in and get ready for work without being bothered). When it got cold out he would start making us piping hot bowls of oatmeal....

Orange And Beet Salad Recipe

You can either roast or boil the beets. Roasting will give you more flavor, boiling takes less time and doesn’t use as much energy to cook the beets. Toss the oranges and beets in a light vinaigrette and serve with peppery baby arugula. If you prefer to roast the beets instead of boiling them, wrap the unpeeled beets in aluminum foil and bake them in the oven at 400°F for an hour or until done....

R Sti With All The Fixings Recipe

It’s no surprise that many cuisines around the world, from Persian to Polish, lay claim to some form of potato pancake. After all, tender potatoes fried until crisp isn’t exactly a hard sell. Among them are the Swiss, whose rösti ranks up there with fondue and raclette as a national dish. Roasted Spaghetti Squash With Sausage And Kale Recipe

Spaghetti squash’s best friend? Sausage. They just like each other, like pasta and meatballs. So when I saw this recipe in my friends Todd Porter and Diane Cu’s stunning cookbook Bountiful, with recipes inspired by their garden, I couldn’t wait to dive in! Root Beer Float Recipe

I do. I must have been around 7 years old and we were visiting my grandparents in Phoenix, in the summer. Have you ever been to Arizona in the summer? Must be why I find Sacramento so tolerable. Let’s just say it’s hot. I still remember all of us greedy kids, still in our swim suits, having been cooling off in the pool all day, lined up in the kitchen, wide eyed as we watched my father scoop ice cream into tall glasses, and then slowly pour root beer over them....
